Honey By Marc Jacobs Perfume Review and ScentBird Perfume Subscription

I was contacted a few weeks ago by ScentBird asking me if I would review and feature their product on my blog. I was intrigued by the company so I accepted the offer.
ScentBird is a subscription service, similar to Birchbox, that offers designer perfumes samples. They have over 350 different designer perfumes to choose from and the perfumes that are sent to you are tailored to your preference. You get to pick what you want! When joining, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire, and based on your answers, they will determine the perfumes that best matches your tastes.

For $14.95 a month, you will receive a travel size sample that comes with a purse friendly atomizer containing .27 oz / 8 ml of perfume. The roller ball is .33 oz and retails for $24.00. Personally, I prefer using a spray. Quite honestly, I think for the price, this is a pretty good deal because you get a generous amount to try out and decide for yourself if you like the scent or not before splurging on the full size.

I also think that this subscription is also ideal for those who love to try out different fragrances without having to break the bank. What do you think? I have to admit that I am very picky with the fragrance that I wear so I'm not so sure if this is for me but I think some of you will find this offer appealing.

The package came in this black envelop with bubble wrap for protection.

Included was a card with instructions on how to use the atomizer.

They also sent me a gift card for Le Tote, which I have never heard of until now but sounds like another subscription service for garments and accessories.

The atomizer was enclosed in this small fabric bag. Overall, the packaging is plain and simple. You just twist the atomizer to release the pump and spray to your heart's content. The atomizer does a pretty good job at emitting a fine mist of scented goodness and it's made of pretty sturdy plastic. Keep it at home or keep it in your purse to refresh your scent. There's no label on the atomizer itself to indicate the fragrance inside; however the glass tube is labeled.

I picked Honey by Marc Jacobs. It smells sassy and lively, fresh, warm, and flowery! Probably not my all time favorite but I do like it and will definitely use up the bottle at some point.

Notes: Pear, Juicy Mandarin, Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar, Apricot, Honeysuckle, Honey, Golden Vanilla, Smooth Woods.

I'm not really good at describing scents but to me this is a casual scent, something you can wear on the daily to the office, to run errands, to have lunch with your friends, etc...
The floral notes dominates the scents and the fruity notes adds a bubbly twist of freshness to the floral. The scent of honey and vanilla are the most subtle. The actual full size bottle is meh to me. It's cute but a bit juvenile, in my opinion. I think this scent will appeal more to young adults. It last a pretty long time on me (up to 7 hours) and I like the fact that it's not too overpowering either.

Have you tried or smelled Honey? Do you like it?
